Can you tell me what these plants are called, thanks
1. Crinodendron hookerianum
3 Hibiscus syriacus..probably a named cultivar.
GD - No. 1 - can't think of the proper name - how frustrating but I've seen it in the SW UK No. 3 looks very much like a Hibiscus from the leaves and flowers.
Hah - that's it - Crinodendron for No. 1
Top one is Crinodendrum hookerianum
bottom one Hibiscus syriacus. Bluebird.
Sorry but Hibiscus syriacus Bluebird is a simple flower...rather purple.
While Guernsey Donkeys2 flowers are semi double..pink.
Photo 2 looks like a double Abutilon. Hybridum Pink Swirls perhaps.
Depends how particular you want to be of course - without resorting to google, Hibiscus answers the OP's query sufficiently I feel.
Easy enough to take it further if necessary. They require the same regime if you want to know whether or not it would suit your particular space.
Thank you one and all for helping to identify these plants for me. The first was planted by our daughters partner in our front garden. He doesn't keep labels, and I had never knowingly seen this unusual plant before. The remaining two flowering shrubs were seen in a garden further up the road, they do look lovely when in flower although I don't think I will be introducing them into our garden, I was just interested to know what they were.
