Name This Clematis

Can anyone identify this clematis for me please? I planted it a couple of years ago in my front garden in the ground and it just didn't take so it was bound for the compost heap as it looked pretty dead but I decided to pot it up and give it another chance out the back and now it's flourishing  but I'd quite like to know what it actually is?

Is this the first, second or only flush of flowers this year?  That will help to ID it as there are an awful lot which are that colour and size.  If you want to have a look through some yourself, this is a great site:

That would make it an early large flowered variety and group 2 for pruning which should help in the search.

Looks very much like Semu to me. If pruned hard in Spring it flowers July to September, or can be treated as Group 2. A beautiful plant.
