The seeds of a lemon are the pips inside the fruit. If you really want to grow from seed, you'd have been better off getting one from the local supermarket.
Unfortunately lots of the exotic seeds from China on eBay, blue strawberries etc, turn out to be common weed seeds. The scam works because it's not until months after purchase the buyer comes here for a plant identification, and discovers that they've been nurturing a dud
You would have been better of spitting lemon pips into a pot. Or... knowing those Chinese eBay ads... did they claim it would have special unique properties... like multi-coloured fruit, or lemons, apples and strawberries on the same plant?
