Can anyone tell me what sort of fungi the attached picture is? we had one on the edge of our drive last year, this year there is about 20 comin up. Are they harmful and what should we do about them?

    IT'S A SHAGGY INK CAP.

    AND, IF YOU PICK THEM WHEN THEY ARE WHITE AND BEFORE THEY BEGIN TO DRIP THEIR BLACK INK, YOU CAN FRY THEM IN BACON FAT OR SOMESUCH AND THEY ARE QUITE TASTY.

    BUT PERHAPS NOT FROM BESIDE YOUR DRIVEWAY.
