Sweet Peas

I had beautiful sweet peas last year and saved the seed pods and again had lovely flowers but there have been no seed pods to collect and save. Any reasons please?

It would be unusual to have no pods at all Coral, if you've had flowers, so have you got a pic you can put on to show the issue? If you click on the camera icon and follow instructions, that would be very helpful. If a photo doesn't upload, it may need to be resized a bit smaller.

It's not really a good idea to keep saving seed as the flowers tend to get poorer year on year, and they start crossing with other varieties, so eventually they won't look like the original plant. It's best to buy fresh seed each year from a reputable supplier. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
