Magnolia Sunrise not looking to good

Hi There,

My Magnolia Sunrise, which I bought in March this year arrived,and took a while to get started(growing). It was doing fine until about four weeks ago when some leaves were coming through deformed and patches of brown on other leaves. Some leaves appear to have been eaten by some sort of insect, see pictures attached?

Any suggestions as to how to improve the plight of my plant would be greatly appreciated.

The plant is in a large pot get plenty of sunlight and is in a North facing garden.imageimageimageimage
