Michelmus Daisys

I have this year had an enormous growth in the Daisy's they have grown really tall and enormously bushy at the top almost stopping the abundance of flowers but the bottoms are very stalks and grey looking as if they have been attacked by something some of my other plant have this grey awful stuff on them as well killing them off luckily the Daisy's have survived can anyone give me some advise please, thanks in advance Eileen

    It's probably mildew which is caused by excess dry or excess moisture and/or poor ventilation.

    Some varieties are more prone to it than others.   Do you know what yours is?

  • The New York asters are apparently more prone to it than the New England ones. Certainly my New England ones have never suffered from it, but then they don't usually go short of water living here either!
