nemesia seventh heaven
I've just been vaguely thinking about what I might grow from seed next year and have discovered a variety of nemesia called "Seventh Heaven" on offer from several seed suppliers. It's an F1 variety so works out a great deal more expensive than the usual varieties.
I'd like to know if anybody has grown this variety in the past and, if so, whether they rate it much above the commoner types of nemesia.

Personally I wouldn't, I collect all my own seeds and grow hundreds of Nemesia every year, IMO it looks and behaves better than Lobelia. They don't come true from seeds but as you can see in my photo here, the colours are just as pretty as in the picture of the Seventh Heaven.
its up to you entirely of course, if you have the money spare then go for it, you will collect thousands of seeds next year. Can't guarantee colours but for me they are all equally as pretty.
this was in August but they are still flowering now, so a good all rounder.
Oh yes, Lyn. they are lovely and I've grown the more common varieties in the past.
The blurb for Seventh Heaven says the flowers grow larger and have a distinct fragrance - something I haven't personally noticed in nemesia - but you can't always believe the blurb which is why I wondered if anybody had actually grown this type.
Because mine are all cross bred now, only certain ones smell, you can buy several that do smell though. I keep some in the GH through the summer so it's nice to work in there.
