Division

Ive just bought some achillea and geum from garden centre! Its end of season deals! Is it worth dividing now and pot up for winter? Or put them in the ground and wait a year or two? They are a good size

    I'd split them and grow on if they're big enough. I've just done a few myself.

    I do that too with end of season bargains.    My last garden could get very nasty winter weather so I tended to pot up all the divisions and keep them sheltered in the greenhouse or else plant them out in one of the raised beds in the veggie plot where I could cover and protect from the worst.
