Wildflower

Hi forum,sowed some wild seeds a while back and this has popped up......any ideas on what it could be,have searched wild flower uk index but taking ages so,I thought id ask the pro's! Tia image

  • That's a delphinium ... not a UK native wild flower and and being perennials usually take two years to get to flowering size so unlikely to have come from seed sown this year ... but you never know, this has been an unusual season.  


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.





  • hi dove,thanks for the quick response, actually the mrs has put me right!!.....she bought it as a small plant (about 4 " tall) back in April this year,no wonder I couldnt find it ! doh!
