Does anyone have one of these and would they work in a garden that isn't large?

I believe they can be pruned hard and are late to leaf. Was after some personal experience / feelings. I have read about so many trees I now can't decide. Went to an arboretum yesterday too but they had none of these.

Did you like it Lantana or did you replace it?

You can prune them back hard like cotinus but I think that would spoil it. Mine spreads, it's wider than it's tall  from one trunk. It is late to leaf, looks rough in windy weather such as we have now and early to drop leaves.

It wouldn't be on my list for a small garden

I have one. Bought it as a 2 ft stick about 15 years ago. It is now about 12ft tall. Leaves are about the size of my hand. But then I live in Scotland. May be quicker growing down in the balmy south. I like it.
