Over 4 years ago i planted a few Cryptomeria Japonica (Japanese Cedar) seeds so i could have a go at making a bonsai tree. Now the tree has been growing in a bonsai pot and looks healthy but does anyone know how old a tree has to be before you start to shape it.

You can start shaping it now.
It is not difficult but there are certain techniques etc.
Internet,books etc will help.
Do you have a bonsai club near you,they could advise?
