Sorbus pruning

I have a Sorbus Eastern Promise, which is about 5 years old I would guess. It currently has too many branches lower down, and I would like to prune it as a standard. Is now a good time to prune, and can I remove all of the lower branches in one go?

I hope so. That's what I did yesterday.
If anyone says different, don't tell me!
Saw Chris Beardshaw on Beechgrove last week saying it was a good time to do it, so l think we'll both be in the clear!
They're pretty tough trees so you'll probably be fine, but if I lived further south, I might be inclined to leave it for a few weeks till completely dormant.
