scale mites

hi all does any one have any experience with scale mites.

we have lots of Euonymus plants all variegated some yellow and green some white and green.

many of the yellow and green have been infected with what I think is scale mite they are tiny white a bit like a very very small worm the leaves are dropping in numbers and the stems look kind of whitish.

they live on the underside of the leaf and there looks like thousands on each plant I have sprayed them with Bug clear Ultra which says It kills these pests but the trouble is as they don't seem to move I don't know if they are dead.

 should I respray just to be sure the bug clear ultra is systemic as it is difficult to spray under the leaf. any help greatly welcome. also they have infected the yellow and green shrubs but not the white and green why! thanks as always lester
