If growing in a pot now ,and if you don't want seeds, cut off the flower stalk and keep the foliage. Leave to one side to become dormant , then clean off the dead leaves .
Store cool but relatively frost-free and dry for the winter , then commence watering in the Spring as any other bulb . They grow better in full sunshine , but will tolerate partial shade .
Thanks for that Paul I'm a novice at trying to grow anything, I bought this about a month ago and it's still alive! Did you mean separate the leaves from the bulb when you say clean them off ?

When the leaves are dry they will be like tranlucent yellowed paper ; just pull them off and put the bulb to dry
.
Thanks Paul ?
