Red Hot Poker
in Plants
Hi All,
I bought a couple of red hot poker babies in a perennial sale at my local nursery in Maryland. I've kept them watered through the heat of the summer, thinking that I could best plant them in the autumn. Now I find that they are best planted in the spring. Do I bring them inside and keep them going through the winter until spring? Will that work? Or do I put them in their spot and hope they survive? Many thanks.

To be honest I'd just plant them now (in a nice well drained spot) and mulch them overwinter if in doubt.
Thanks WillDB.
