Can anyone advise on the smallest sizes of clay pot available, where to buy and roughly how much?
Id like to invest in a few for cuttings purposes.
These work out at 71p a pot, but you would need to put holes in

Why not use the plastic terracotta 3in pots, holes included
I'd say plastic is generally better for cuttings too.
Clay is porous, and can remove the water from the compost a bit too quickly, which makes it harder to keep the moisture level regulated - too easy to over water. Plastic is easier in that respect - less water loss - and that benefits little cuttings, giving them a more consistent medium to grow in. Also - warmer for the roots, and if you put them round the edge of the pot, it's ideal for them to get their roots down, as the drainage is better.
