Summer Rasberries

I've just cut back my summer raspberry canes, the ones that have fruited this year, and left the new canes. I didn't realise there were so many new canes in amongst this years. Do they need a bit of feed now in autumn or do I wait till spring. Any advice welcome to get them ready for next year.
