It's 'Avalon Pride', a peach leaf curl resistant variety on Montclare rootstock and is supposed to reach 2x2m. However, it has grown considerably more than that and did not appear to be slowing down when it reached 4x4m so I've had to prune it quite hard for the last couple of years, which I did immediately after harvesting (which is a fair bit later than recommended.)
The ideal time to prune them is in April when you can see the blossom which helps so that you don't prune off all of the fruiting wood! Like all stone fruit, you should never prune them over the winter as this risks them contracting Silver leaf disease.
I'm in Leics and the front garden is south-facing and gets hot like yours which I'm sure is why it does well.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I DON'T HAVE ONE PLANTED OUT IN THE GARDEN AS THE WINTERS HERE ARE TOO COLD.
IT LIVES IN A POT AND SPENDS THE LATE SPRING, SUMMER AND EARLY AUTUMN IN THE GARDEN. THEN IT GOES INTO THE CONSERVATORY.
IT IS ABOUT EIGHT YEARS OLD ON MINIATURE ROOTSTOCK BUT I THINK THE SHAPE IS FAIRLY TYPICAL, JUST SMALLER IN SIZE.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
Found a couple from 2015.
End of April:
End of July:
Both lovely. What is yours Bob and how big will it get? I am in the Midlands but we do have grapes and passion fruit growing as garden is hot.

It's been grown in a pot outdoors ...at least 5 years old, probably closer to 10. Not sure of the variety.
We're on the south coast ....
