hi can anyone give me an I.d. To this wildflower in my garden. I have seen it many times and know it grows like mad.

    Rose bay willow herb. Rampant self seeder. It will drive you mad too.

    Don't let it seed.

    Rosebay willowherb ... seeds all over the place ... they drift on the air like thistledown.  Don't let it set seeds if you don't want it to spread. 


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Rosebay willow herb, Epilobium something or other.  Someone will know the species name.  Also known as fireweed, because it's one of the first colonisers of burnt soil.  I remember the lovely swathe of purple it made on the bombsite next to my primary school.
