Plant ID - Palm
I was in my local garden centre today and spotted the plant below for £35 and decided to get it. Unfortunately there was no label for ID and the lady in the garden centre couldn't tell me too much about it.
An ID would be useful so I know how to care for it and it may also tell me if the position I've planted it in is suitable!

Looks like a Trachycarpus fortunei aka 'Chinese windmill palm' or 'Chusan palm' but I've been fooled before as there is another palm which looks similar.
I think it's Livistona chinensis , the Chinese Fan Palm .
Moderately hardy , but give some protection if possible in a severe winter . Worst enemy of these are strong winds which can shred the leaves .
I think it's Washingtonia robusta. Quite often found in garden centres and homebase etc. The leaves usually have threads hanging from them which gives that 'hairy' look to them.
Oh well , yet another trip to Specsavers !!
