Does anyone know what this is ?
It's not a wasp, they usually have a nipped in waist, could be a hoverfly. Try googling British Hoverflys, some of the images look very similar to your photo. I'm sure someone will come along and give you a positive ID.
Thank you for the responce bright star I will have a look
Yes I believe now it is a dead head hover fly. Beautiful
It is a Hoverfly - flies have small stubby antennae, unlike bees and wasps. i thought it might be Syrphus ribesii, but your ID seems better.

FLIES HAVE TWO WINGS AND HOVERFIES, IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A CLOSE LOOK JUST TO CHECK, HAVE A LITTLE U-SHAPED WOBBLE IN THE VEINS OF THEIR WINGS, NEAR THE TIP, VISIBLE IN YOUR PHOTOS.
Than you everyone for your help ❤️
