What's wrong with my tomatos?

hi all,
this is my first time attempting to grow veg. Most of what I've grown so far have been fine.
my tomatos however aren't doing so well. I'm growing Amish paste as I read they were best for pasta sauces etc. They've been doing really well however last week I noticed some of them had starting developing brown patches on the stalks. A few days later this had completely covered the stalk the leaves and the tomatos. I water them daily when needed and I've given them tomatorite directed. But it's now spreading to my other tomato plants that were previously fine. I have attached pictures. Can anyone help explain what's happening and what I'm doing wrong please.
