Something appears to be eating bits of the stems of my roses, just below the blooms. It weakens the stems and the blooms hang down, looking as if they're about to fall
I've had them on my roses this year. They hatched and started to eat. I just pick them off and cut the stem off to get rid of the damage. They were quite a large size too! Yuk.
Roses, lovely as they are, seem prone to so many diseases and problems. I've never seen hanging down rose blooms, though, and I imagine when they manifested themselves you thought, I'm seeing things!
The wonderful thing about this Board is, of course, that there are so many generous people here, always ready to help. Aren't we lucky to have it!

Thank you,Gavpre,
I've had a look and think you may well be right, though the roses don't look defoliated, yet!
The idea of removing the beggars by hand is not too appealing to me. so, Provado, here I come!
