Plant with the large leaves only! This popped up in my garden a while ago and now it is quite large. The caterpillar seems to love it and is eating and eating and eating and getting huger by the minute! can anyone identify the plant and the caterpillar please!

That;s what I thought-do you know what caterpillar it is? It is rather hairy!

It's the caterpillar of the Large White butterfly aka Cabbage White ... favourite food ... brassicas.

It's probably very happy where it is. image

Nice to see, let them finish dinner and pupate before you remove it

Thanks everyone- the caterpillar is FAB and growing larger by the hour! I never care if they eat holes in leaves as I think they are marvellous! Oooh and now I can look forward to some broccoli too:)
