New to the site and wondering if anyone can advise on why my giant hibiscus has wonderful foliage but has failed to produce any flowers yet. Can't see any signs of buds. Have fed and watered but no success.
All Hibiscus species are classified as 'long-day plants' ; without going into details of photoperiodism , that simply means they require as much sun as possible in the UK climate .
If it's any consolation, I have had two for 3-4 years and neither have ever flowered. I moved one to my south-facing front garden so it would get as much sun as possible but forgot about a tall perennial which came up in front of it, so will have to move it again when the leaves fall!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Thank you for the replies. Yes, the plant is in sun for the majority of the day but goes into dappled shade around 5pm. Think I will move it and try and get that last bit of sun on it to see if that brings on some buds.
Apologies for the picture being upside down! Don't know what went wrong there

Is your wall as sunny an aspect as possible ?
