Good morning everyone, What do we think is the best kind o mulch to use on your herbaceous borders?

Lulu - we have had great success with composted green waste from the local council recycling company. It gets so hot when they make it that there are no weed seeds, its nice and black so looks great and has done a great job of suppressing the weeds already there. I hope it will be improving the soil too, but a bit early to tell that yet. We'll certainly be ordering some more next spring
