It's Persicaria campanulata. Can spread very fast, especially in moist soil, but is not very deep rooted so fairly easy to remove. Very pretty, flowers for a long time, but will collapse at the first frost, then return again in the spring.
I am trying to eradicate it from my garden, even though I love it, as it is growing beside a stream and I don't want it to escape into the wild, lest it could become a nuisance like Himalayan balsam.
