Long Flowering Perennial
Hi, I am wanting a long flowering perennial for the back of my sunny border no more than 4ft tall either blue or purple to fill a gap.Preferably one that will flower into autumn and doesn't flop. Can't make my mind up between Campanula / Salvia or Penstemon. Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks..

Aster frikartii 'Monch' ?
Hi, looked this Aster up and it flowers July/Oct definitely a contender. Thankyou..
my favourite would be Erysimum 'Bowles Mauve'. Known as a perennial wallflower, they can flower year-round. Probably get to 18 ins high by wide, only thing is they get scruffy after 3 years or so but cuttings are easy enough.
I've got Aster Little Carlow about to burst into bloom and a caryopteris with buds
