Try again for I.D
in Plants
I posted this about 2 weeks ago to try to find out what this is but only had the leaves at the time. Now that the flower is opened I am hoping someone can tell me what it is.
I have 2 growing in a pot with my dahlias. Don't know how they got there as i only put dahlias and a lilly in.
I quite like these so if I can find out what they are and if they are bulbs, then I can lift them in autumn and put them somewhere next spring.
Regards,
Jay

I think it's a spider lily but couldn't tell you which cultivar.

Thank you. Think you may be right. No idea how these would have ended up in my pot, as I have never purchased these, but will have to find a good home for them next spring. Thanks again.

Jay
Are you in the US, Jay? If so they are native in the south there so it could be a gift from the birds. Otherwise it may have been a stray bulb mixed with the others you bought.
I am in the uk. I did buy some lilly bulbs last year which I planted in the garden. I only planted one lilly in the pot that these turned up in. The rest were dahlias, or so I thought.
