Prunus amanogawa

I have just bought a lovely prunus amanogawa tree which ideally I would like to plant as a focal point at the front of our house. Howevwe, I am a little concerned about root spread and I have read conflicting information about the safe distance I should plant this tree from my home. Could anybody advise please

Everyone has different opinions and also their soils vary so it is hard to work out what is acceptable. I personally would not recommend planting this tree any closer than 8 meters from the walls of your property. Not sure how big is your front garden. Perhaps others may offer a totally different opinion.
