Is this a damson tree?

Could anybody confirm what this tree is (s/b some pictures to follow)?

Is it a type of damson?

As ever, thank you to all who look and reply.

Apologies for the 'upside down' pictures. They are the 'right way up' when I look at the source image on my iPad?

    OK. Apologies to all.

    1. I am unable to edit and remove duplicated pictures using my iPad.

    2. I rotated the images on my iPad, uploaded them again but they still appear to be upside down?

    3. I appear to need advice from that rarest of gardener who browses this forum whilst doing a handstand  (or is from Australia).

Have you got an in focus picture of the fruit (opposite end to the stalk)?

If it is smooth it is probably a damson. Cut it in half and it will have a stone similar to a plum stone. If it has a star shaped structure it is a crab apple. Cut in half it will look like the inside of an apple with pips.

Get the Gin in ready to make the Damson gin, or jam, or Chutney.
