Pear Tree

Hi I have taken a picture of two pears that I have taken off the tree in my allotment. It's two years old and this is the first time there has been any fruit on it. Can you tell me what the problem is please.image

    THERE ARE NO CHEMICAL CONTROLS AVAILABLE TO NON-COMMERCIAL GROWERS. YOU JUST HAVE TO SWEEP UP THE FALLEN LEAVES AND BURN THEM IN THE AUTUMN.
