I've had this grass for 3 years thinking it was stipa gigantea. It has never flowered. Now I know that it is not a stipa gigantea, but what is it? Have I been taking care of a weed?

Looks quite like Phalaris arundinacea.
Thanks very much. It does look like that. I've removed it and replaced with an actual stipa gigantea.
