Plant identification

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I hope that somebody can help me.  On Friday's episode a garden in Dorset was featured. As Mary Cartright walked down steps in her garden in front of her was a small tree with the most lovely red foliage. It really stood out. Just wondering if anyone can identify it for me please. Thanks in advance.  Alison image

Had a look again at Episode 19 and saw the shrub/tree you meant but couldn't make out what it was.

Maybe you could contact Wendy Cartright directly.

Her e mail address is on here.
