between paving plants
my patio flags have a gap of about one and a half inches wide round every flags. I have tried thyme ,grass and a couple more plants whose names escape me ,this area gets very hot in summer and very cold in winter. Does anyone know of a robust creeping plant that can put up with these conditions?
I have also tried camomile . Thank you.

Thyme is usually the best one. Is it too wet for it? The creeping ones are normally pretty robust, and even though they won't flower so well if it's shady, they will still thrive as long as the drainage is fine.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I am trying globe daisy (Globularia cordifolia) from seed this year. They say it is quite drought-resistant.
I like Acaena microphylla 'Kupferteppich'.
I have dog violets round mine. They don't usually have to contend with drought, but have been ok this year
I'm about to plant Mazus repens at the side of my pond and I hope it will eventually make it's way up and onto the gravel path. Fingers crossed.
It comes in blue and white.
