hi can anyone identify this tree that seems to be taking over, I inherited the garden after my dad died and I'm sure he wouldn't have planted it so close to the Apple tree, thanks
I believe it is a gift from the birds...willow..Salix sp.
I think I can see leaf stipules in your pic.....
Those tiny leaf like bits at the bottom of the stalk.
I recommend you remove it asap before it becomes a giant!
