Can you identify this shrub. It is approx. 1.5 mtr high x 1 mtr. Leaves turn red in winter, and it has red berries. It has whitish pink flowers in summer. It was a present from my daughter many years ago and I would like to know how to prune it.
I would say nandina domestica as well, very tough plant, foliage good to put with cut flowers.
I've got this one and also nandina firepower which as its name suggests turns a more vibrant red in autumn than domestica, it's also grows a lot shorter.
It doesn't bear flowers so is usually grown for its lovely leaf colour in the autumn.
Thank you, I have been trying to find out for ages. I really like it, so I didn't want to cut it back and lose it. The firepower sounds nice too, I'll see if I can find one.
