Hi, we have loads of this on our lawn and despite pulling hundreds the other week, they keep coming back!
Anyone know what it is so I can find a more damaging method of removal! Or if anyone has any advice, that would be brilliant!

Pretty sure they're Greater/Broad leaf plantains (Plantago major).
Definitely not Plantain. It looks like Sorrel to me.
Don't think so, Dave, the rosettes don't look flat enough nor the leaves leathery enough for plantago. I think it looks more like valerian. Gary, has it had any flowers, or long stems covered in seeds?
Nope, nothing aside from what is in the picture.
Seems to spread via root as when I pull one up, the root shots off horizontally to another.
Isn't a plantain, I know what those are like. Looks like it could be sorrel although I can't see any red-ish stalks (if that is usual or just a variant I've seen).
Just looked at a pic of broad leaf French sorrel, looks just like it!
Could indeed be Sheep's sorrel
There are so many types of sorrel....
Although my Mrs doesn't think it's sorrel, I might eat some.
Leaves look a bit like Buckler leaved Sorrel ... they have that distinctive shape ... and there are accounts on the web of it being a bit 'invasive'.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It looks like Red Sorrel. Likes to thrive in poor quality slightly acidic soil. You also mentioned roots spreading side ways.

Thanks for all replies, I think it is red sorrel given that I've seen this on a few other front gardens in the area and does have the stems with seeds, however as ours gets cut very regularly, we don't see them so much.
I'll get some broad leaf weedkiller and see if it clears up. Thanks all!
