Sick/Dying Cardoon

I have a 3-year old cardoon. Year 1 it was extremely green, bushy and healthy looking. Last year and this year, it starts off growing very lush and healthy, but by end of June it looks rather anorexic and yellow. It has totally lost its lushness and look thin and sickly. Any ideas what might be wrong with it, please? Any help would be gratefully received!

sounds like mine. Nothing looks lush and green forever. Have you had flowers yet?

Sorry to hear your's is in the same situation as mine. Yes, it is flowering at the moment, but the leaves all over are soooo sickly looking.
