Bees and other pollinating insects fly for miles 🐝
Someone in their range has some squashes of some sort flowering in their garden.

  •   Hi
    I have the
same conundrum ... my first 2 zucchini flowers are female with fruit ... I can only conclude that these courgette defender f1 are self pollinating .... I am scared to harvest them in case I ruin the plants future intentions !

That’s perfectly normal ... unpollinated female courgette flowers always have a courgette behind the flower. They can sometimes be quite a reasonable size before the flower opens and is pollinated.

The courgette grows bigger if pollinated or rots and drops off if not.
