This is now about 10 ft tall, very fast growing. No sign of any flower buds. Moved here recently so have no idea what it is!
Looks like Ground Elder. Should be flowering now but if your plant is young it's unlikely yet.
Common Elder (Sambucus nigra)

Thank you all, Elder seems to be the answer. It's very fast growing!
Yes Common Elder ... Sambuccus Nigra.
Not Ground Elder, which is a completely different plant and not related.
Borderline had me worried there for a minute ; "ground-elder 10' high" ; imagine tackling that
Thankyou, yes I was a bit concerned about that too! Can't believe how quickly it has grown. Hope it's easy to get rid of as it's totally in the wrong place!

This should sort it out
... it looks as if it's right by your house wall so it needs to be killed off ... it probably came from a seed in a dropping from a blackbird perched on the roof edge.

Apologies for causing alarm....I must admit I didn't even know the difference between ground elder and common elder... I thought they were the same but clearly checking again, not the same at all.
Dove from above, yes it is beside the wall. Thanks for the advice.
