Help with identification

JRichJRich Posts: 2

Hello,

My Grandmother recently past away and there is a flower that she loved but none of the family can correctly identify it. I took a picture of it the last time I was with her and I would like help identifying it please?

Thank you for helping!

camellia, but there are 100s of varieties.

I'd guess one of the Williamsii hybrids.

Judging by the leaves in the background, I would think it's a camellia, possibly Camellia sasanqua.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thank you Hostafan1 that is a tremendous help. You're correct there are so many varieties but you've narrowed it down for me and my family.

good luck JRich, but you might never find out the exact variety, especially if it's an old specimen.
