who is this?

this chap had a black and white spotted round bum

he had orange wings which were beating really fast and he hovered - like a humming bird

a long thin black tongue or whatever was poking into the flowers

Sorry - these photos are dreadful, but they might give you an idea

    I thought they were hummingbirds when I saw them in Spain as a kid
