Strawberries, no fruit but lots of runners

Strawberry question. I bought some strawberry plants last year, Cherry Berry from T and M, I potted them up and they produced a few fruits last year. I cut them down over winter and they have come.back vigorous but are now producing loads of runners but no fruit. What should I do?

You don't say where you are but in uk the season is over. Now the plants are naturally propagating themselves. Don't cut back leave to die back naturally only cut runners if you don't want more plants . This will feed the plants and hopefully next year they will produce more fruit. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Yes in the UK. They produced loads of leaves but no fruit at all this year.

Mine are in a new garden and had some fruit (half of which were got by blackbirds even though they were netted) so like you I am waiting till next year to see.
