Dear gardeners, after blooming for a long while my orchid has suddenly gone like this, what do you recommend to do?

look at Alan Titchmarsh on gardens world web site,he say leave it alone and when a bud breaks cut the old top growth off above the new shoot.

Have got about 20, cut off dead stem, while its not in flower, water it ocassionaly, spray leaves rain water if you can get it.  You have to be patient, they flower for 3 or 4 months, so have a long cycle, I have so many, so that I always have several in flower.
