The leaf colour suggests Rosa glauca, aka Rosa rubrifolia but only the leaf colour. I can't see enough detail for a definite ID
I think you may well this one nailed again - could not get hold of mum to discuss. But it looks right to me from what I can remember. Thank you - as you may have guessed, mum took a wee seedling of this rose - which self seeds everywhere - from a car park! and has never know what it is called. It is soon to join my garden - so with the name, I can check out where it will be happy. Thank you
