Arundo donax 'Variegata'
Hi everyone !
Has anyone on the forum ever managed to get this superb giant-reed to flower in the UK ?
Mine is in a huge pot , very well watered in full-sun all day ; it seems that it takes most of the summer to attain statuesque proportions (i.e.flowering size approx.2-3m tall) with striking variegated foliage , then Autumn sets in and that's it for another year .
It's then stored in a cold greenhouse for the winter and dies back to virtually nothing . Be nice to see it flower
