    It does look like sour grapes - they're lovey, I've got clumps of them here and there.
    The leaves are quite wide for a penstemon

    Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
    Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

    Do you have any more pictures? It looks a lot like the blue/purple/pink tones of my Electric Blue & Heavenly Blues. Sour Grapes is much paler.

    is it flowering now?!.. I have some sour grapes and they're not flowering yet. I have too many verbena in my garden border which makes it look over grown.. perhap I should cut some back?..

    Yes. I took the picture today. I'm in London and it's been VERY warm.

    I went a bit daft buying all kinds of penstemon once I found the slugs don't eat them and they root easily in water.

    The leaves and growth habit are different to my Sour Grapes, but having googled Sour Grapes, mine was obviously mis-labelled. It has the same flowers as yours, but much wider leaves and a very lax habit.
