What kind of poppy is this

Hello, does anyone know what kind of poppy this is? The full botanical name? Is it a perrenial or annual?

If it's annual, what would be the best course of action? -

a) wait for seed pod to dry, collect seeds, scatter them around at that point b) collect seeds, sow later (if this, when and how - in ground or in pots?) c) leave it do its own thing and see where it ends up growing?
